In this game of Psychic Prediction, you pick any number you want,
and perform mathematical operations which you choose. The Psychic
will predict the outcome.
It will help if you use a calculator. That way, you can start
with a really big number, so there is no possible way The Psychic
could guess it beforehand.
Pick any number you wish. Make it a nice big number, with lots of
different digits. The trick will be more amazing if you use as many
digits as your calculator will hold.
Now you should pick the series of mathematical operations.
Use the following table of choices.
If the number of digits is odd, you may do any one of the following:
«» Take any digit in your number and move it to
the end. For example, if you had 51973 you could move the 1 to the end,
getting 59731.
«» Take any digit in your number and move it
to the front. For example, if you had 51973 you could move the 7 to the front,
getting 75193.
«» Take 1 or 2 digits from the front of your number
and move them to the end of your number, then subtract the smaller number
from the larger number. For example, if you had 31952, you could form
19523. Since this is smaller than 31952, you would subtract
19523 from 31952 getting 12429.
«» Delete any digit in your number and add it
to any other digit, provided the sum is less than 10. For example, if
you had 61538 you could delete the 1 and add it to the 3 getting 6548.

If the number of digits is even, you may do any one of the following:
«» Take the last digit in your number and move it
to any other position. For example, if you had 512897 you could move the 7
two places left, getting 512789.
«» Take the first digit in your number and move it
to any other position. For example, if you had 512897 you could move the 5
two places right, getting 125897.
«» Take 1 or 2 digits from the end of your number
and move them to the front of your number, then subtract the smaller number
from the larger number. For example, if you had 629825 you could form
256298. Since this is smaller than 629825, you would subtract
256298 from 629825 getting 373527.
«» Split your number into two halves and add them.
For example, if you had 684395 you could add the two halves 684 and 395
to get 1079.

You may do the following operations at any time:
«» You may multiply your number by 7.
However, you may do this only once.
«» If your number ends in a 0, you may divide it
by 5. However, you may do this only once.
«» If your number is even, you may divide it by 2.
However, you may do this only once.

If you get stuck, because every operation either
leaves the number unchanged or results in 0, multiply your number by 19.
For example, if you had 11111, you would multiply by 19 to get 211109
and then continue as above.

Continue performing these operations until you are left with a single
digit. This number is your Psychic Essence. Now look at that number
in the following table for the infallible prediction.
